I remember capturing the dream of becoming a professional photographer 3 years ago. I had just purchased a Canon XTi, and knew that photography was all that I wanted to do for my career. Oh how I wish I would’ve had someone guide me through the process! The questions were endless…What developer should I use? What editing software is out there? Where should I post my images for my clients to view? How do I make my images look better? How do I compose an image? What equipment should I invest in? How do I get business?…..AHHHHHHH!
I get emails almost daily from local photographers who are wrestling with the same overwhelming thoughts, and I’ve realized that all we need is a support system where we can share ideas and strategies to help us grow our business from a hobby to a career. Luckily, I have already wrestled through many of the questions I have listed above, and I’m willing to share a few of my deepest secrets to help other aspiring photographer’s succeed.
So, I know what you’re thinking…what’s involved?
Well, I’ve decided to keep the beginning meetings inexpensive. Each meeting will last 2 hours and will broken into 2 sessions. Each session will cost only $100. We will meet at my house to talk business for the first hour, and then venture outside to work on correct exposure and composition. Each meeting will offer new tips and ideas and you can sign up for as many or as little as you like.
Not only will most of your overwhelming questions be answered, but you will also gain a group of friends who share the same interests as you, and will be there to support you as you aspire to be a very successful professional photographer.
