I flew into Las Vegas yesterday for WPPI. This is my first time in Vegas. We’re staying at the MGM Grand Hotel. This place is HUGE! I’m staying with Cristy Cross, Brittany Strebeck, Courtney Ryburn, and Lain Eubanks. These girls are so much fun!
Last night we went a huge party….Airhorns and Lasors. I hear that there were 900 people there. We were bused to a secret location, the Wynn Hotel and Casino. The place was practically pitch black with red lights and super thick fog. I was originally wondering what the title, Airhorns and Lasers, had to do with anything, but once the party started…I understood. The dance floor was PACKED! I was happy about that. I’m definitely not a dancer, but all my roomies were…so they dragged me out on the dance floor. Let me just tell you….we were right in the middle. (Can you say uncomfortable!). I’m not trying to brag, but I totally mastered the “step…touch” routine (sarcasm).
This morning, I had the honor of eating breakfast with some of my favorite people in the industry. Mike Larson, Zach and Jody Gray, and Erik Clausen (and his wife, Destiny). There is one thing we have in common…we are all passionate followers of Jesus Christ, and are passionate about seeing Him move in this industry. David Jay and Mike Larson have started a group for Christian photographers called Photog Unite. If you are a photographer, I would definitely become a fan on Facebook and follow them on twitter. They have started organizing Christian photography groups in various cities. The photographers worship together, encourage/support one another, and pray during these meetings. They talk about the core values of being a Christian photographer and implementing biblical values in your business. If you are at WPPI this week, then meet with us tomorrow morning at 8 in the MGM Signature Conference rooms A&B. I’m really excited about it.
So, now I’m incognito in my room. Resting up before grabbing dinner with my Fast Track Photography family. Here’s a couple of pictures from my room.
