Spring Mini Shoot Highlights!

My Spring mini-shoots this past Saturday came out GREAT!  I had 11 back-to-back 30 minute photo shoots.  I photographed over 49 different people, most of which were children.  My amazing sister-in-law, Cheri,  helped out in the morning.  She’s incredible!  The daffodil field was packed!  I was lucky to find little spots in the field that nobody else wanted.  I walked away with only minor cuts and bruises, a mild case of poison ivy, and only 1 tick!  It was definitely a great day!!

Check out some of my favorites!

The Damerons

I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged in over a month!  I have had so much going on ever since I started planning For the Love Workshop.  I have also had so many changes since I went on a trip to Lubbock, TX in November.  While I was there, I decided to change my entire brand….website, blog, and shopping cart.  I thought it was going to be simple.  Boy, was I wrong!  It feels like I have completely started over from scratch.  It has definitely been a journey.

So, I’m back!  I’m more exited than ever!

I wanted to share with you a few pictures I took of my dear friends Blake, Michelle, and they amazing son, Isaac.  We stumbled upon a vineyard and it proved to be a perfect backdrop for our early morning shoot.

What a Great Weekend!

I admit it….I’m the world’s worst at taking my camera to family functions.  I usually depend on my 2 mp camera phone to capture all the amazing things I experience on a day to day basis.  But, I’ve turned over a new leaf…I documented my amazing weekend, and am so excited to share it with you.

Saturday…my aunt and uncle (Wina and Dennis) gave us 4 tickets to the Tarheels vs Miami game.  It’s not uncommon for them to give us tickets, (We are so fortunate to have such generous family members) but it is uncommon for me to have a free Saturday…so I was MORE than excited.  We also brought along my mom and step dad, Chuck.  We had SOOO much fun!  Mom is absolutely hysterical, and Chuck and Shane are like two peas in a pod.  Check out a few pics from the game.

Is my mom hot or what?!?

Sunday…following an amazing service at Greenville Christian Fellowship (GCF), Shane and I went to his parent’s house to eat lunch.  Debbie (Shane’s mom) is a master cook!  In my opinion, she puts Paula Dean to shame :)

I had so much fun photographing our niece, Haley.  I was her personal jungle gym.  I would simply lay on the floor and she would climb all over me…including a nose bleed :)   Check out my favorites…

Our last stop on Saturday was my big bro’s house.  I was able to capture a few priceless photos of Noelle (my other beautiful niece).  I’m convinced that if I’m ever having a bad day, I could just look at Noelle and she would make me feel better.  I have never seen a baby who smiles as much as her.  Check out a few of my favorites…

I am so thankful for my family and such an amazing weekend.  God is good!

The Gray Family: Greenville, NC Wedding Photographer

Jan and I actually taught together at Eastern Elementary last year.  She was one of the funniest people in the entire school.  I was so excited that I had the chance to photograph her family.  We had a blast!

The Hartsfield Family

I was so happy when Hannah contacted me to photograph their beautiful new baby, Eisley.  Ray and Hannah are such an amazing couple.  They love each other completely, whole-heartedly, and simply delight in each other.  It’s so refreshing to be around them.

Enjoy!

I love this one!  It’s a perfect picture capturing the love of a father.

Diener Family

Oh my…where do I begin?

Let me start with how amazingly FUN the Diener family is.  They helped create one of my dream photo shoots!  Picture this…fun loving kids being themselves in front of the camera, loving parents who immediately feel like long-time friends, and a WHOLE bunch of laughing…that’s one of my dream photo shoots, and that’s exactly what happened with the Diener family!  We had so much fun playing in the park together.  Check out some of my favorites from our family session.

The Cutrell’s

I don’t have very long to write, but I did want to share a few pictures from The Cutrells’ photo shoot.  As you can see, this family was super-fun!  Shayla (the star) was a ham!  She kept us all in stitches!

The (entire) Brown Family

Shane and I have been friends with the Browns for quite a while now.  We were in bible study together for over 2 years, and have spent quite a few hours jammin’ out in our band…Guitar Hero that is.  If you know the Browns, you would know that every time you are around them, you will have a good time…scratch that…GREAT time!

I was so excited when Jan (momma Brown) contacted me about taking pictures of the whole crew.  I knew that this shoot was going to be a good one!

On the way to the park, we raced a HUGE thunderstorm cloud…it was the kind of cloud you would see in twister.  We definitely couldn’t cancel the shoot due to the fact Chris (the youngest brother) was being deployed soon.  I knew that we had maybe 30-45 minutes tops to photograph a whopping family of 10 (with 3 out of the 10 being children under the age of 5).  My work was definitely cut out for me.

Amazingly, we captured more moments in 30 minutes that most 90 minute shoots.  Everyone was perfect!  I mean PERFECT!  They looked at the camera, smiled, laughed, played…simply perfect!

I was very pleased with our outcome…check it out.
