Katie and Jason

If you want to laugh…and laugh A LOT…you have to hang around Katie and Jason.  Usually, I’m the one trying to tell lame jokes to get my subjects to laugh, but not with these guys.  Jason had me bent over laughing…there were times where I had to stop taking photos to catch my breath.

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding!  They are getting married in Philadelphia in July.  I’m so happy to have a chance to spend more time there.  My last wedding there was beyond words.  You can check them out here.

Check out a few of my favorites.  You could even leave a comment if you’d like (*wink)

My favorite part of the photo shoot was when we snuck into the stadium.  I’m sure it was legal, but it was fun thinking it wasn’t…we are wild at heart!

Pee Dee the Pirate makes a great background!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Katie’s laugh!

Outerbanks Fun

Last week I had the joy and honor of photographing Erica Sherrod and Justin Stepps’ wedding at Cape Hatteras.  I’m not quite finished picking out my favorites from their wedding, but I do have a few fun pictures I took on my way back.  The trip to and from the Outerbanks was nothing less than amazing.  I had a wonderful time traveling there by myself.  I felt like I was traveling through a Nicholas Sparks book.  It was so neat.

Cristin and Shea

I always love it when friends ask me to photograph their wedding.  You see, Cristin and I went to Hunt High School together.  I was ecstatic when she called me about capturing her ‘Big Day’.  Both Cristin and Shea are such wonderful people, and  equally beautiful at that.  They are getting married on September 27th at Yankee Hall Plantation.  I absolutely can’t wait!  Here are a few pictures from their engagement session….enjoy.

I Felt Inpired…

Today, I felt inspired to create artwork.  Often times, I find myself too busy to sit down and create art for fun, but, today I made it a priority.  These are a few pictures that I took on my kitchen floor.  I added some of Julie Mixon’s textures and applied a few color editing techniques to change a simple picture into a work of art.  Julie’s textures, borders, and brushes are available for purchase on her website.  I hope you enjoy.

This is a picture of a pottery pitcher with bamboo shooting out. This is one of my favorites.

This is Chunk. She wouldn't hold still long enough to take a full-body picture, but her face will do.
