Coming Soon….

I am reaching the end of my big travel season.  Since January, I have been to Tennessee twice, West Virginia, Texas, Vegas, California, and Oregon.  It has been tough staying on top of editing and orders.  I have one more week before I head to Colorado to shoot a wedding.  After that, I will be home for a while…planting flowers, working on my tan, and of course editing and posting all the fun photos from my adventures.  So, I will be chipping away at my To Do list between now and then.  Here’s a few photos from some of my most recent shoots.  I can’t wait to share with you the entire blog posts.

Spring Mini Shoot Highlights!

My Spring mini-shoots this past Saturday came out GREAT!  I had 11 back-to-back 30 minute photo shoots.  I photographed over 49 different people, most of which were children.  My amazing sister-in-law, Cheri,  helped out in the morning.  She’s incredible!  The daffodil field was packed!  I was lucky to find little spots in the field that nobody else wanted.  I walked away with only minor cuts and bruises, a mild case of poison ivy, and only 1 tick!  It was definitely a great day!!

Check out some of my favorites!

Impromptu Lilley Shoot

This morning, as I was reading the bible on my front porch, I took a second to look up at the sky and thank the Lord for all the wonderful things He has blessed me with.  As I looked up, a huge gust of crisp wind blew through my hair, and I was captivated by the beauty of God’s creation.  The sky was extraordinarily blue and the grass was vividly green.  I was overwhelmed by this beautiful picture, and I knew that it would be a waste not to capture this glorious day.

So, I posted a little note on Facebook, jokingly stating that I wish I had models in my pocket for days like today, and the Lilley’s were quick to respond.  I’m so thankful that they did, because it would have been a shame not to have documented this glorious day.  Please enjoy a few of my favorites. Also, to learn more about the Lilley’s and their passion for Jesus, please click here.

Truelove Family

Oh, how I love the Truelove’s!  This family was amazing.  Beth has to be Super Woman….twins and a 4 year old…and she handles it with ease!  Our shoot was a blast.  We started at their house (which happens to be a few doors down from my house), and ended at ECU.  We captured a lot of great moments between this wonderful family….Enjoy!

African Children’s Choir

Last night the African Children’s Choir came to our church.  I was so moved by the experience…I practically cried through the entire performance.  My heart was touched hearing the stories of how those beautiful children were rescued from poverty, violence, and diseases.  Their smiles, completely melted my heart.  It was yet another reminder that all the petty worries that constantly run through my mind is meaningless.  It was another reminder that in the grand scheme of things, God is in control and everything is going to be alright.   To hear some of their music, purchase merchandise, and to help support the work taking place in Africa, please visit: http://africanchildrenschoir.com/

Here’s a few pictures that I took:

Angela’s Bridals

I always want to post bridal sessions as soon as I finish them, but to my dismay, I always have to wait until the bride marries the groom.  It’s TORTURE!

Well, finally I get to share with you a few of my favorites from Angela’s bridal shoot.

Ashley and Chad

I absolutely loved photography Ashley and Chad!  They are completely in love and are so much fun to be around.  My favorite part was when I had Ashley and Chad sitting on a tractor in the blazing hot sun, and Chad wouldn’t open his eyes.  I begged him to try for one second to open them, while I tried to snap a shot, but when he turned to look at me, he had tears rolling down his cheeks because the sun was blinding his eyes.  I felt awful…but if you know me, you know I can’t keep my laughter in…I was practically on the ground laughing so hard!  Just so you know, we found a shady spot where Chad could open his eyes, and the rest of the shoot was a success.
